* All our taps are manufactured from quality HSS-M2 for durability and extended tool life * These 3pc sets consist of: Taper, Intermediate and botton taps * Taper or first tap has a long chamfer and trapeziform cutting edges and preformd about 60% of the cutting work * The intermediate or second tap has a shorter chamfer and trapeziform cutting edgeswhich are deeper, and completes around 30% of the cutting work * The 3rd or bottoming tap (finishing) has a short chamfer and cutting edgeswhich create the final sharp form of the thread groove
