SCREW CHUCK: 1-1/2″ HD CWA60 RECORD

The wood screw chuck has proved over the years to be the most popular of all lathe accessories. From the most delicate of goblets up to 14 wetwood bowls the wood screw chuck offers the opitmum timber clamping method. There are two styles available both in two sizes of 1 1/2 and 2 diameter. Firstly the CWA60 and CWA61 Heavy Duty Wood Screw Chucks. Consisting of seven precision-machined components both chucks incorporate the unique non-slip screw mechanism which guarantees realignment of the timber once removed thus giving the facility to turn both kiln dry and wet timbers and now commonly used by specialist green-wool turners on out of balance workpieces. The face on all 'Record Coronet' wood screw chucks are inwardly tapered. This enables the outer diameter of the face to positively locate onto the timber.
SCREW CHUCK: 1-1/2″ CWA62 RECORD

$28.70
The CWA 62 woodscrew chuck is precision machined to an internal tolerance of +/- 3/10 of a thousand of an inch ensuring concentricity therefore eliminating spiralling and chattering. Suitable for both hard and softwoods. As a general rule you can turn five times the diameter of the chuck face with a width of times four ie. A 1 1/2 Record woodscrew chuck will hold a block of timber 7 1/2 wide by 6 deep.
